Job Description: Mission Coordinator
We are seeking passionate, organized, and resourceful individuals to join our team in the role of Mission Coordinator. In this role, you’ll help set the course for the Sailing Psalms team, identifying compelling ministries, breathtaking natural sites, and culturally rich destinations worldwide. Your main objective will be to facilitate and organize the detailed logistics of these stops in a strategic and cohesive manner, helping chart the path for the onboard crew to experience and capture, and the Sailing Psalms Community to discover and enjoy, with the ultimate purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify captivating ministries, picturesque natural locations, and culturally significant destinations across the globe.
Assess the suitability of each destination based on factors such as accessibility, safety, cultural relevance, and potential for transformative experiences.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of curated travel stops, including relevant information and logistical details.
Collaborate with the team to determine the best route and itinerary, ensuring a logical and enjoyable travel experience for participants.
Coordinate with local contacts, organizations, and authorities to facilitate seamless transitions between destinations.
Continuously monitor and update the itinerary to accommodate any changes or unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the journey.
Provide recommendations and suggestions for enhancing the travel experience, such as unique activities, local traditions, or hidden gems.
Stay updated on global travel trends, emerging destinations, and relevant cultural events to continually enhance the itinerary offerings.
Qualifications:
Strong passion for travel, exploration, and discovering meaningful experiences.
Excellent research and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Knowledge and understanding of different cultures, global ministries, and natural landmarks.
Ability to think creatively and strategically to craft engaging travel itineraries.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and local contacts.
Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing circumstances during the planning process.
Proficiency in utilizing technology and travel planning tools.
Previous experience in travel coordination or event planning is preferred but not required.
